Who the hell is this?

If you know me, or even if you don't know me and you've only briefly looked at my site, you've probably noticed that I enjoy a certain fallen angel very much:

This is Lucemon Falldown Mode, a Digimon and one of the Seven Great Demon Lords representing the sin of pride. Yes, he is from a B-tier children's media franchise. Yes, I am obsessed with him regardless and this is the current love of my life.

I think it's also important note that being a Digimon, he is not necessarily a singular character, but rather a species (as weird as that probably sounds). His appearances throughout different games, anime seasons, and whatever else are not necessarily the same character, but rather different characters who are the same species of Digimon.

I actually have my own personal "OC" mon who I love dearly named Phalanx, but I still have a general love and fondness for Lucemon overall. So, this is my general Lucemon page!! Phalanx will get his own page eventually...

Lucemon Falldown Mode (or "Chaos Mode" for the dub crowd)

The strongest of the "Seven Great Demon Lords", it is an ultimate Demon Lord Digimon which possesses both the divine and the diabolic. It instigated a rebellion in the far-flung past, and so it was sealed in the Dark Area along with many other Demon Lord Digimon. Its power exceeds that of Ultimates, and is said to rival that of the existence called "God" as well. It has a contradictory existence, in that one side of it loves all things, as God does, while the other is trying to destroy the whole world, as the Devil does. Hence, once it destroys this world, it intends to create a fresh new world. Its Special Moves are "Paradise Lost", a destructive technique where, after launching the opponent high into the sky with a wild dance of blows, it holds their limbs fixed as it drives them back into the ground, and producing a three-dimensional magic circle as a glowing orb of holiness and evilness, within which it confines the opponent (Dead or Alive). When shut within this magic circle, it is a 50/50 decision whether the opponent is either completely annihilated or suffers great damage.

I do like his other forms, but FM is the one I've fixated on the most for whatever reason. This is his evo line, which is actually non-standard as far as Digimon go:

Satan Mode is an old favourite of mine, and I still really like his design. The worm is cute, and I don't mind child Lucemon, but he's not really my type or a favourite of mine.

If you're familiar with Digimon, you may notice that I have left out his X Antibody form -- that's because I can't stand it. As someone who used to be super into Dio but hated his Over Heaven design, it pisses me off that Lucemon X also has Dio's Over Heaven design, because I guess the Bandai designers thought it would be funny to give the Dio reference Digimon the same design too. I'm coming for you, Bandai. How could you do this to me twice? Why can't I be free of this torture chamber I'm trapped in?

The dark descent

Back in the day...

When I was a young Nyar back in the early-mid 2000s I was into Digimon, and one of my favourite designs was Lucemon Satan Mode because it was a giant evil dragon, which was AWESOME. I didn't like humanoid designs at all then, and as a result I actually thought FM was a shit design bc he wasn't a dragon. Why did my awesome cool dragon evolve from a random fucking Guy??

I think in 2018 or so, someone gifted me Cyber Sleuth from my Steam wishlist (which I think I had added solely bc I saw it and went "wtf what do you mean Digimon still exists?"), and when I started that game I locked in on trying to get Satan Mode bc of course I had to get my childhood favs. I ended up playing like 8 hours and then never touched it again -- I did not get Satan Mode, because 8 hours isn't nearly enough time to get him, especially if you're a newbie going in blind.

Fast forward to 2024, I saw a random post on Tumblr from someone I followed that randomly reminded me yet again that Digimon was in fact, still something that exists. I ended up revisting Tamers and Digimon World DS from my childhood, and it was then that I decided to give Cyber Sleuth another shot, and I continued with my previous save. From there, I have no idea what happened.

Out of nowhere I started developing this fixation on Falldown Mode. I don't know if it's because the asbsolutely torturous grind for Satan Mode stockholm syndrome'd me into liking him, but there was a curse placed upon me in October 2024 that doomed me into liking this asshole, and in the coming months he absolutely dominated my thoughts and completely overtook the place of my previous blorbo, Asuka R. Kreutz.

I'm now writing this in January 2026, and I still don't know why or how this happened. I kind of just live with it now, though.

In 2025 I went through kind of a self-shipping phase with him (specifically with Phalanx), but now these days I am doing something... else, and I feel like viewing him in a solely romantic context isn't correct, nor is the term "f/o" fitting. I think the simplest way to put it is that I do consider him to be my partner in a sense, but the dynamic isn't exactly straightforward.

My fluffies!

I sometimes call him my fluffy because I think his wings would be soft -- the angel wings would be, of course, soft as a feather, but I think the devil wings we would be really nice too, like a soft, premium leather. But that's besides the point!!

These are my various Lucemons from the different Digimon Story games. I pretty much only play Digimon Story and not World bc I struggle with the Tamagotchi-like mechanics of World -- I would never be able to cope if I had a Lucemon permadie on me, it would be the end of me...

He is not available in this game :( However, he is part of the 7DL post-game quest, so he is here in spirit. He does have some of my favourite lines that make me feel something, though:

Digimon World Dusk

So, I actually cheated a bit here. I think I had already played through Dusk twice prior to my most recent playthrough, so to make things more fun when I did it as an adult, I decided to fuck around and I cheated myself in Lucemon FM from the beginning. Aside from that, I don't have anything particularly interesting to say about this fluffy...

His stats in Dusk/Dawn are honestly pretty mediocre, most likely a result of him being a balance type, and unfortunately he absolutely pales in comparison to other perfect levels I have like Dorugreymon. He has some nice traits that boost attack at least, but still... it's a shame.

Digimon Story Lost Evolution

Dude, fuck Lost Evolution. The plate grind annoyed me so much, and having to get all the Lucemon plates through random drops was THE BANE OF MY EXISTENCE.

Regardless, I think this is my Lucemon with the most interesting life. I think he started as a Picodevimon or something else from that evo line, and before I had access to Lucemon for evolution, he ended up spending a lot of time as... Lilithmon. So I consider him (her?) to probably be my only "female" Lucemon, or at least as female as a Digimon can get, anyway.

Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth

God, getting Lucemon in this game is such a pain. When I first started reading up on farm mechanics I did not know or understand shit, and it's almost obnoxious how many hidden mechanics there are here.

Anyway, it ended up taking me like 30 hours to get this asshole, and it was the most painful shit ever. So much unspeccing and respeccing stats... ughhh. Awful. It felt really satisfying once I finally got him, though.

Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth - Hacker's Memory

I said the Cyber Sleuth grind was awful, and you know what? I endured it a second time in Hacker's Memory.

It was in HM that I started deciding to theme my Digimon names after songs, and I decided to name my Lucemon after one of my favourite USAO songs at the time -- YOU & DIE, which is the song that plays on the title screen of Wacca Reverse.

Digimon Story Time Stranger

I continued my song name trend here, but the stupid ass name filter kept kicking my ass here. My Lucemon here was originally supposed to be named Got It Bad, but that got blocked by the filter, so he ended up as Calling Out instead.

Raising Digimon is laughably easy in this game, and it's crazy that they use the agent levels to essentially gatekeep you from getting something crazy right away. Being barred from being able to painfully grind your way to an ultimate is like 9/11 for Digimon raising.

Because you can raise stats almost infinitely in Time Stranger, I was able to keep my Lucemon as FM for the whole game (once it finally allowed me to get him, anyway... which was after like 30 hours of story), and I ended up raising myself a second Satan Mode Lucemon named Outrage near the end of the game as well.

My Lucemon cards! This is the order that I have them in my IRL binder. It also includes a few non-Lucemon cards like Cupimon bc it's part of his evo line :3

This just uses the sample images (for modern cards) or the available Wikimon image for older cards, but ideally I'd like to find a way to get better scans of the old cards at some point.

I have most of his cards, but there a few I don't have due to either the cost, unavailability, and/or my personal dislike for the card (for example, the second parallel for BT7-111 is the ugliest fucking card of him in existence, I have a vendetta against the artist for failing to understand and convey his feminine charms).

Lucemon doesn't really have a ton of merch available, and to be quite honest I'm not that mad. I'm kinda tired of buying non-functional merch, and ngl every time I move on from a character after a few years, I suddenly realise that I am now stuck with a ton of crap that I no longer particularly care for, and esp for niche series it's kinda hard to get rid of it.

Accessories and custom items

These are custom made from NewFileIsland on Etsy! When I got these in 2024, it was actually my first time custom ordering anything off Etsy so I didn't know what to expect, but I was super happy with how these turned out. The seller has listings for custom Adventure digivices, and as much as I don't care for Adventure, I kinda wanna just get one just for the hell of having more custom Luce stuff.

I carry these around with me for moral support :3 Because of the risky nature of carrying around cards outside these are actually using proxy (bootleg) cards, though I do have legit copies in my binder as well. The simple angel cardholder is from Aliexpress, and the devlish one on the right I bought from a seller on JP Mercari.

My bags

My big bag! Features 18 copies of the EX10-052 card. I'd like to decorate it more at a later point as it feels a little boring, but the general layout of the cards pleases me greatly.

And the smaller one, with 7 copies of the BT18-082 card. This was actually my original attempt at a Lucemon bag, but unfortunately it's too small for daily usage (or at least going to play Wacca, anyway).
